Domain name tips:

• .ca extension is better than .com for Canadian websites. It helps Google identify you as Canadian.
• try to have the really important keywords in your domain, especially ones that are contained in your business name. Eg., howardconstruction.ca is much better for a business named Howard Construction Ltd., than halifaxcontractors.ca. It will be better for your search engine ranking.
• if your preferred domain is long, or a bit hard to remember or spell, having a short form, or easy to remember version, is often a great idea. For eg., if your main domain is millenniumrefridgeration.ca, something like keepingitcool.ca would be a great alternative. You could include the shorter one in print materials, such as business cards, and have it auto redirect to your “real” one. It also helps in setting up easier to remember and spell email addresses.
